Trust & safety
Trust & safety
Trust on ivault comes from clear profiles, optional identity verification, reviews after every deal, and in-app messaging.
Identity verification
Members can complete optional KYC identity verification. Verified accounts can show a KYC badge on their public profile and listings. Verification is not required to browse, and a badge is not a guarantee of every deal outcome.
Reviews and ratings
After deals, members can leave reviews. Ratings appear on profiles so you can see how others have experienced trading with that person.
Messaging and local meetups
Requests and chats stay in the app so you can agree pickup, return and price details before you meet. Most deals are completed face to face nearby.
Payments
Listings may offer different payment options between members (for example card where enabled, tokens, or a direct transfer arranged with the other party). ivault does not currently operate a general escrow or hold-and-release wallet for marketplace deals. Treat payment terms as part of the agreement between you and the other member.
Business and private sellers
When they sign up, sellers state whether they sell as a business or as a private person, and their listings show “Business seller” or “Private seller” accordingly. ivault does not verify this statement. When you buy from a private person, the consumer protection rules for purchases from businesses — such as the right of withdrawal for distance purchases or the statutory guarantee — do not apply. If anything is unclear, ask the seller before you agree on a deal.
How listings are ranked
In the default order, “Popular”, listings whose sellers paid to boost them come first and are labelled “Boosted”. The rest follow by the seller’s rating, then by how recently they were listed. Sorting by newest, price or distance ignores boosts. Your search, filters and chosen area decide which listings are shown at all. A boost is a paid placement, not a recommendation or a quality check by ivault.
Privacy and location
Public listing locations are shown as approximate areas, not exact addresses. You control cookie preferences for analytics and marketing. Account and legal details are covered in our privacy policy and related legal pages.
What ivault does not cover
We do not currently offer damage insurance, purchase guarantees, or a promise that members are checked and safe beyond the tools above. So do not assume that ivault holds money on your behalf.
