ivault
Accessibility statement
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to browse, list, rent and swap on ivault, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology. This statement covers the ivault website on every market domain and in every language.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The website is partially conformant: most of it meets the standard, but the parts listed under Known limitations do not yet.
What we have done
- Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run on key pages after every deployment to our test environment. A critical or serious problem shows up as a failed check for the team to fix.
- Every page has a skip link to the main content and clear landmarks for the header, the content and the footer.
- Keyboard focus is always visible, with an outline that has at least 3:1 contrast.
- Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
- Buttons and links are at least 24 by 24 pixels. On touch screens and in narrow windows, the header, menus, filters, footer and page navigation use targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels. Links inside running text are the size of the text.
- Arabic is shown right to left, and that layout is tested on every deployment.
- Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The photo slideshow and the facts strip on the home page have a pause button, and they also pause while the pointer or keyboard focus is on them.
Known limitations
- Identity verification is provided by Shufti Pro in an embedded window. We cannot change how accessible it is.
- Signing in with Google or Facebook uses their own buttons and windows.
- Maps are drawn from third-party map tiles. The area name and radius are always given as text as well.
- Listing photos are uploaded by members and have no descriptive text. The listing title is used instead.
- An independent review with screen readers has not been done yet, so there may be problems we do not know about.
How we checked
The website was checked on 11 October 2026 with automated tests (axe-core) on 28 key pages, signed in and signed out, together with checks of keyboard focus, touch target sizes and right-to-left layout. A review by an external expert with screen readers is planned. We will update this statement when it is done.
Tell us about a problem
If something on ivault is hard or impossible for you to use, tell us which page you were on and what happened. If you need information in another format, ask in the same way. We read every report and reply as soon as we can.
